Announcement of Honorary Graduands 2014

It's official!!!

Along with Dr Bernard Lewis Fanaroff, Mr Malcolm Christian, Mr Andrew Kirkwood Muir and Mr Pieter-Dirk Uys. Basil Kransdorff has received an Honorary degree for his unique and outstanding contributions that have had a profound impact on society locally and at a global level.

Basil' category for the award is for a personal record of distinguished service and/or achievement in some other field of endeavour (e.g the advancement of democracy and social justice, social service, community leadership, economic enterprise, public affairs, philanthropy, the performing and creative arts) which is deemed appropriate for the University to recognise.

Basil Kransdorff
Industrial chemist, social entrepreneur and CEO of Econocom Foods, Basil is the co-inventor (with his wife Rose Grealy Kransdorff) of an innovative and low cost nutritional product - e'Pap technologies - aimed at redressing micro- nutrient deficiencies in marginalised and poorer populations.

Basil, we thank you for your work in helping to stop malnutrition in Zimbabwe and the world. We only hope that we can join in on the fight against hidden hunger in Harare and Africa in general.
